    Hi all,

Have been thinking about trying to get an album recorded to a decent standard and Im on the look out for some musicians that might like to contribute their talents.

It would be a self financing project for me so to be brutally honest, I would rather spend as much as possible on the recording/mixing/mastering costs to have it sounding as "professional" as possible. Depending on the overall cost, I might be able to throw a few quid to people looking to help out but Im really looking for musicians with ideas who dont mind being rewarded with a few beers after a hard days work!

There may be two of us involved in this project..and its likely to be a mix of acoustic & electric songs. Between us we probably have have vocals, guitar & bass covered but would be also interested in female backing vox maybe for a song or two

I am on the look out for

    Piano/Keys

    Cello/Strings

    Mandolin (Or similar)

    Drums/Percussion

    Anything else interesting!

Sorry if this thread comes across as a bit scabby but its just something I have always wanted to do. I would happily return the favour (vox/guitar/bass) for anyone else's project who is looking to input.

For further info you can PM me or post reply.

    Cheers lads,
    Seany

well i can offer my services as a guitarist, but doesn't look like you need one, but how or never, i'd be up for it.

    Cheers for the offer Lundi.

May have guitars covered... Unless its a specialised area of playing (spanish guitar, etc).

Nothing has been finalised just yet...waiting to see level of interest and overall costs before anything happens.

Anyone one else..in particular piano/keys and where would I find cello/strings other than a keyboard :v:

Thanks for the replies guys. i'll be sending PM's off this week. Im also recording (just acoustic & vocal) a few tracks I have in mind for this to see if people are still interested.

I could be looking at doing this song by song and it could possibly take up to a year to get it all finished & done properly. I dont expect any such commitment here... doesnt have to be same drummer/bass player, etc on each song. Could be a long process all the same!!

The more involved the better i'd say...

Piano/Keys here, where will this be based?

I am based in Dublin (northside).

I am looking at a couple of studios at the moment and also considering the prospect of mobile recording as I have access to a large school hall at weekends and holidays. Have also done previous recordings there.

Lauren, you got anything recorded that I can hear you sing?

G-Man, Im presently doing a couple of live takes (acoustic & vocal) for the songs I have in mind if you would like me to send ya something?
