Querying incorrect price labels

Not really a bargain, but can end up being one.

Had to replace headset. Went into PC World, price on label €44.99 for Plantronics DSP 400. Brought up to check out, told it was €69.99. Pointed out error on label, sales assistant checked and told me items under wrong label. No other label indicating correct price of item. Asked for manager, explained that this was misleading to customers. He gave me headset for price shown. Saving of €25.

Many occasions when I've experienced this, or seen items not priced. Well worth querying it if it happens to you. Not sure of consumers rights on this one. Maybe someone out there can answer that one. Bugs the hell out of me.

Score. Tere's no duty to sell at that price stated it's what is called an invitation to treat. But if it's in a kinda big store you can ask what Trading Association they are with because most of these Associations have rules stating that the items should be sold at the price stated. Worth a try.

In Tesco you get it free if it scans up as a different price to what is displayed.

Same in superquinn, and you also get anything free that wont scan, so look out for anything without a barcode, like from a multipack!:D
