I know the proceedure for when the dealer birngs out the turn card before the post-flop round of betting ends. (ie- burn a card, bring out the river face down, put fourth steet back into the deck, let the final player make his/her decision, and then bring out fourth st off the top of the shuffeled deck.)

What is the proceedure for if dealer brings out one or more cards from the flop before the 1st round of betting is compleete??? (in this instance we will asume significant action has taken place- ie, call, raise, reraise???????

Also does th above rule aply to fifth steet comming out before the round of betting from fourth street has ended????

Afaik, a pre-flop dealer mistake of this nature requires a complete reshuffle of the entire deck and hole cards. If memory serves, it is only after betting on the flop, or the flop has been seen, that a procedure is reached to keep the shuffle live, e.g. burn card is shown by dealer instead of turn, or burnt and turned before the betting round had been completed by all live players.

Shuffle hole cards? I doubt it. I would assume that any cards not shown i.e. turn, river are kept from the shuffle, as well as their burn cards and the rest reshuffled. I am open to correction though.

I think you are correct 5star. I saw it happen to a guy in a tournie in the Fitz one night. quite a bit of action preflop with one small stack all in. The last guy to decide is thinking about it when the dealer flops a flop of 3 diamonds. There is a ruling from luke that the burn card, the flop and the deck are reshuffled (but NOT the hole cards) , the player decides his action then a brand new flop is dealt (including a card being burned) and the play continues from there. In the end, the small stack had flopped the A-high flush the first time and missed completely the second time which seemed harsh but hence the ruling stuck in my mind.

    DeV.
