    from: http://www.playfuls.com/news_4828_Prostitutes_Protest_Against_GTA_San_Andreas.html
...As you probably know only too well, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has been scolded over and over again by all sorts of organizations for its violence (way too much, they claim), has been scorned for the sexual content unveiled by Hot Coffee and now (as if there weren’t enough people protesting it), has also unleashed the wrath of a certain group. A very serious and old group, because we’re talking about the oldest trade in the book.

Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP), a group whose purposes really need no comments, also supported by the NIMF-omaniac doctor David Walsh (NIMF - National Institute on Media & Family) have issued the following statement:

“...in the interest of furthering sex workers' human and civil rights to life and personal safety, we object to any media which represents sex workers as legitimate targets of violence, rape and murder. Censorship is a blight on the freedoms we hold dear but we wholeheartedly encourage citizens to vote with their dollars by refusing to purchase products which encourage the denigration and destruction of prostitutes. Since the video game Grand Theft Auto accrues points to players for the depiction of the rape and murder of prostitutes, SWOP-USA calls on all parents and all gamers to boycott Grand Theft Auto.”
    .....

Well it made me giggle :)

No it doesn't. The prostitutes willingly get into your car and you don't get rewrded for killing them.

I always love the way they say "parents". I don't know how many parents still buy their 18+ children computer games:rolleyes:

Yeah, there's even a sub-mission where you have to protect your ho's from violent and non-paying punters... I think the reward for successful completion is a pimp-suit.

I don't recall any missions where you had to slaughter any hookers, so I don't know where he's getting this "targets of violence" horseshíte from... everyone in GTA can be killed (aside from certain key plot-driving charicters) so I don't know why whores should feel especially hard done by.

tbh this blabbermouth mongoloid should try sitting down with the game for a few hours, then see how much he feels like killing whores afterwards.
But then you'll always have the attention-seekers who love nothing more than to jump on the latest media-spotlight bandwagon, trying to make a name for themselves.

It's funny how nobody came forward to protest Mario on the grounds that it rewarded players for brutally murdering turtles.
Won't someone please think of the koopa troopers. :(
