    not sure if this is the right place for this thread, if not mods feel free to move. just wondering is it compulsary for coffee shops to have to have a fairtrade coffee option?

    That would be against competition and fairness, giving any brand, regardless of motive a guaranteed market

    There's no way something like that would have a law made about it. But if you want your local cafe to offer fairtrade coffee, just make a point of asking the manager about it. If enough people do, they might go that way.
