A big LOL to this one.....

This page, linked to this page, reveals the following info:
Paris Hilton may play Mother Teresa

I don't usually get news from southern India, but what the hell. Bollywood director T. Rajeevnath, scouting for a suitable actress to play the title role in his film on Nobel Peace laureate Mother Teresa, has sent feelers to Paris Hilton. "My agents in California have contacted Paris Hilton," Rajeevnath said.

The director said he was impressed when he read a report sometime ago in which the hotel heiress said she had refused to pose nude in Playboy magazine and decided then to shortlist her. "Although there are several actresses willing to play the role of Mother Teresa, the most widely respected and loved person, the history of the actress who is finally chosen for the role would have to be analysed thoroughly before she is chosen," said Rajeevnath. Rajeevnath expects to get the blessings of the Pope for the film.

Hmmm. Well this would be an interesting casting choice. Kinda like casting Jackie Chan as Jesus. I don't know what the plus side of having Paris would be, unless Mother Teresa's going to be naked most of the movie. Which might make the whole canonization process a bit awkward.

Jackie Chan as Jesus would be most excellent... unleashing a can of whup-ass on the Romans, so good.

Id love to see them do a proper background check on Ms Hilton... God, what possessed them.

    He must be mad...

"the most widely respected and loved person, the history of the actress who is finally chosen for the role would have to be analysed thoroughly before she is chosen,"

Why would he even consider Paris Hilton, if that's how he feels? She is far from respected, she's a leech on society and has most likely whored herself out in the past (literally, I think she'd do anything for money or the promise of more fame).

I'm sure it's a joke.... Otherwise someone get that main a straightjacket.

The original article mentions her not wanting to pose naked for Playboy and then ponders why they'd want her unless they wanted naked Teresa action. It's worth nothing that any nude Paris Hilton videos or pictures you may have seen were all personal products that were stolen and released without her consent.

I'm more concerned at the fact that she isn't that great an actress to play such a complex role. Of course I don't know the nature of the film, or indeed the kind of role the director has in mind for her.

How? A leech on her father possibly... But society?

    I can't stand Mother Teresa...

Paris Hilton seems like a sound casting choice to me.

Meh, perhaps wrong wording or too strong, I just have a strong dislike for the woman. She's a no-talent attention whore who is famous for being famous... That concept makes no sense to me.

I think you need to read up a bit more on Mother Teresa.

She was very good friends with the regime that kept so many of these people poor and she supported the governments suspention of civil liberties.

Her order recieved hundreds of millions of dollars in dontations, but both the order and the vatican have refused to say were it was speant. Certainly not a single hosptial was built, which was what most donors would have been led to believe the money was for.

It was never her intention to help the poor, merely to promote their suffering. It's an element of religion that I hate the most... teaching poor people that they should be happy being poor.

Paris Hilton on the other hand is pretty much harmless...

i think the problem here is that most of the people posting in this thread clearly have no idea what Bollywood films are like. 99% are complete and utter tripe and are made to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Concepts such as "storyline" "believability" and "depth" are non-existant in bollywood.

Paris Hilton as Mother Teresa makes perfect sense in the context of the utter sham that is Bollywood cinema.

He may be a Bollywood director, but that doesn't mean this film is, he might be directing a "standard" movie. Might be the case though, but the above blurb (and that's all I read on this) doesn't say so.

But yah, a Bollywood movie bout Mother Theresa wouldn't really be a serious film, heh.
