    saw an advert in herald a while back for prison officer positions but the civil service recruitment site publicjobs.ie never emailed me the job even though i had registered ,anyone have a link to details of application

    but dam it i cant apply as i missed my irish exam in leaving cert and therefore failed irish but i got 500 points in leaving and have an honours degree. its a good job,good money good pension and job for life unlike many workers in the irish economy,all manufacturing and many service jobs will leave this countryin next decade or two

    theres supplementary exam you could take if you really wanted to be a prison officer and you it helpful to learn a few other languages while you at it, (honestly im sure it would :/)

    anyone know what the tests are like for this? Is it the same as the gaurd's? Stage 1, 2, 3 etc.
