    Hi there,

Sold my "old" PC to friends of mine and I managed to hook up their USB printer to it but not their (parallel port) AGFA SnapScan 1212. Went on the AGFA website and found the following:
    Windows XP:

Windows XP does not support the scanners with parallel ports:
    SnapScan EZ, SnapScan 310 p, SnapScan 1212 p, SnapScan 1200 p.

Agfa will not make XP drivers in the future for these scanners as it stopped its desktop scanners and digital camera business in September 2001.

Can anybody think of a way of getting around this? Or do I just tell my friends to get a new scanner?

    Thank you in advance! ;)

Instructions on how to make it work here requires a bit of tweaking but it should work it seems.

Thanks a million 8T8! I'm delighted to hear there is a workaround! And this tutorial is really well put together! I'll give it a go and let you know if I was successful! :D

    Thanks again!
