I read the Dark Nest trilogy and although it wasan't the greatest ever Star Wars book series I think it set things up well for the upcoming Legacy Of The Force series. The whole bugs theme began to grate late on but the character development particularly Jacen's steps to the Dark side was really good. Best things about the trilogy were the return of the lightsaber duel and Luke finding out about Anakin and Padmes final days.

Jacen still annoys the hell out of me. Legacy of the Force, looking forward to it, but whats it going to be about, Lucas specifically said that the sith cannot be revived, the vong are defeated, the empire not part of the galactic whatever it is. The chiss are still claiming something bads coming, it would be cool if it were the guys that the vong were running from.

I heard the sith couldnt be revived but Lucas musta softened because Lumiya from the old Marvel comics is back as a new sith villan. Looks like jacen'll be joining her too. I agree though about Jacen thats why I want him to turn and Luke to kill him

the vong left their galaxy after conquering it, they werent running from anything. their homeworld ran from THEM but thats another story.

Dark nest as a whole was a very weak trilogy, there was very little cohesion between the three books and the myriad story lines threatened to pull the whole thing apart.

it was still a good series though.
The revelations of padme and anakins past, let alone r2-d2 and c3po. Jacens first steps onto a dark path to protect his daughter and his agreeing with anakins train of thought from ROTS. After the end of the YV war luke set the jedi on a disasterous path and he begins to realize this towards the end of the series.

as to Legacy the first book is called betrayal and features Ben skywalker on the cover http://www.starwars.com/eu/lit/novel/img/20051104_bg.jpg

boba fett is supposed to be coming back in force with a new unit of mandalorian mercs (as seen towards the end of NJO)

heres an excerpt from the first book featuring Wedge

<edit> people please remember to put spoiler tags in as not everyone has read these books and there is no warning in the original thread title.

As for the vong, did'nt the sekots mammy give them the technology to fight an enemy, it never went into much detail about the enemy.
