    For starters,NO MORE LAG:D .I'm not sure if it's down too the patch or my bandwith getting doubled yesterday,probably a bit of both:rolleyes: :D
    The guns seem more accurate and the flags change alot quicker.The sniper rifle is way more accurate,so I''ll be getting lots more head shots in ala unreal tournament style.

    In farness youd think they would of gave us some new maps...the game is still the same as it was the first time I played it last June.
    So anything else too add?

    I like it, especially the new sniper rifle, dont like the fact that you cant jump and plant c4 cause i used to place it on roofs alot of the time to nail people in a wider area and also they could see it, now im restricted to the walls or floor. :mad: But overall its good

    AA's are ridiculously accurate.

    Some fella hit me after id dropped my flares and was banking at full speed, with ALL 3 ROCKETS!!!.

    Also the Missiles from planes are too accurate, i had no trouble shooting down other planes. Usually i would have to sneak up on them and get behind and use the MG, or else fire the rockets before locking on. With this new patch you can hit them while they bank, so no more need to be near straight.

    Heli's got F'd in the A.

    Havent tried any ground weapons, these are my views after 1 and a half maps.

    UAV thing is cool though, its pretty high up, so a heli or plane can shoot it down.

    How many points does one get for shooting down the UAV?

    I'd funny feeling the AA would be too good, it'll be hard to reach an equilibrium with AA, it was woefully inadequate before.

    If your a good pilot then AA shouldn't be a problem. I spent most of the night actually trying to get into an AA gun. The planes/choppers constantly hit them. Also there were snipers covering them too.

    Different story for Mobile AA and AA on ship.

    Well what ever it done it sorted out my load times. I get on a server in about a minute now. Before it was 10 minutes usually got kicked even before I got on the server

    Only played 2 city maps, but from what i've seen they killed C4, planted it or so i thought on tank, it backed away i went hahaha to myself and promptly blew myself up as it did'nt seem to stick and just fell off.

    Snipers so much better, dunno is it the new unlock or snipers in general but wow it's better. Karkland should be interesting , especially when mec are dwon to the 4 last flags and us are across the river.

    P90 meh!!, honestly i'll be sticking to the DAO-12.

    Did'nt get near planes or AA so can't comment. Overall its nice, no more dolphin diving, altho it's still got that annoying roll to the ground(it annoys me because it looks stupid), C4 was a dissapointment as i'd rediscovered how much fun it can be.

    On more investigation the blackhawk got completely sh!t on, very hard to hit anyone with the minguns, then in maps like mashtur i always thought the blackhawk had a huge advantage over the mec heli.

    The SA80 is still hopeless despite claims to have been fixed. Used it last night and still got murdered. The nade launcher is still providing plenty of 'WTF PWNED' moments with explosions happening out of nowhere. Only played a little while so maybe things will improve but so far not exactly impressed

    That was one of the changes of the patch. Strikes me as logical since claymores are meant to be set off by a hand held clacker not a motion sensor.

    Lot's more mid to long range fire fights..

    you can't really just charge about in open spaces you're just going to die, real strength in moving in squads now..

    Air has become a great challenge, no one seems to want to fly anymore for some strange reason.. so it's nice to not see a load of campers standing around waiting for a plane to spawn! and I was actually team killed for the ground AA lmao!!

    As an engineer I can no longer throw a mine onto an enemy tank by jumping and 'shooting' which is kinda sad I think. I never thought it was an exploit and will have to figure out another way to get those darn tanks !

    Well I have to say I like it, and im not sure why? The whole game just feels better. I was trying the F2000 and dident notice really any difference in it. The nads seem the same, but then I need to play it a little more.

    I love it, had one of the best games of BF last night, on sharqi, full server, all out infantry war, Ive never seen it so intense.

    I love the new clays, I was getting so sick of friendlys climbing ladders knowing theres a red X right there then punishing me for it, all they needed to do was ask and I remove them, but now, the amount of clay kills I got last night, not even when sniping, just planting them and running back and having the enemey follow me, ah twas fun settin traps :D

    Havent flown much, only did it on a private server got a friend to sit in an AA gun and see what I could do.

    I rarely if ever fly online but the AA seems seriously powerful, too powerful? although even if it is I don't think the flyboys will get to much support from the groundpounders :D

    I like the visible UAVs, if for nothing else just for the comic value of watching gun fights stop as everyone looks up to try to shoot it down :D

    The new sniper rifle I like, but seems to take ages to reload, but the amount of headshots I got last night made up for it.

    Probably the best patch they've released, although I still read online that the red/blue tag bug is still there

    Was real funny killing a bunny hopper today he dident hit me onece, I supose he dident know what the patch was all about.

    1 patch and 6 threads on the BF forum, is it just me or does that seem a but too much. I was thinking of starting a 1.2 thread complaining about too many 1.2 threads, but then that would just be silly.

    I think there's no prob jumping when someone is shootin at you, what i hated was when the jumpers shot back!!!!

    I used to just run as fast as i could for good cover and jump round the corners, I would never have jumped right in front of someone shooting at them

    Its all been said but I really must add my two cents about the support unlocks.

    Fuck. Seriously. Its insane. I never play support. But I did last night to see how the guns had changed. I murdered EVERYONE...easily. I was using the special forces support unlock and I cannot believe how lethal that thing was. I have never annihilated so much infantry so quickly. Insane.

    And the choppers weren't borked too much. I found avoiding AA didn't seem too much harder, the range is almost certainly reduced. The only thing that really hit me was the lower hp...Hmmwvs are now the ultimate chopper killers. Cuts em down so quick.

    Just had a quick game on GFF server. Patch def seems to work well for me. I'm most an infantry man so not too bothered about flying. But certainly got a few AA kills on Gulf map. Also Spec Ops G3G6 or whatever it's called seemed more effective.

    So so far I'm happy. :D

    Problems!!!!

    C4 - can't jump and throw. Which means C4 (with a HUGE blast radius) is now something you have to throw, then run for a couple of seconds from to get out of the blast radius

    Now you can say "Well that's a good thing". It's not. That's what mines are for!! Because mines at least stay there after yer dead for a while. With C4, you have to be there, and you have to know WHEN to detonate for it to work.

    You can't throw it higher than your head. What a load of CRAP! C4 was the greatest class imo before. Now it sucks.

    C4 plant time - 1 pack per second?!?! WTF?!?! It used to be hard enough running up to a tank (take out dolphin diving) without having to hope that they don't see you for the 2+ seconds it takes to plant the C4, and then to length of time it takes to run away. It'll mean more SUICIDE bombers. At least before you could shoot people as they ran away.

    UAV. The name is so ****ed up that the perspective is relative - i've flown INTO a UAV thinking it was a good bit away. You can't target it - you CAN shoot it down, but it's like Parachutes.....this little light aircraft (just meant to be a broadcasting device) will blow you up if you clip it!!

    Less rockets in the Choppers - i'm in 2 minds about this. Yay on the most part, but you can't take out tanks or any ground vehicles now. A DPV took me down before I even got to aim at it. Not to mention you just CAN'T get away from linebackers....AT ALL!

    If you're in the air, you're in a wide open area. By the time you get to fly behind something you've already been shot at, dropped your flares, and had the second "completely accurate" wave of missiles up your ass. Not to mention the firepower from the gun alone means you don't even NEED to fire the missiles.

    This is all i've seen so far so i'm not happy. I've not seen the reduction of Bunnyhopping N00b t00bers, but then I didn't see THAT many anyway.

    You can still sprint as much as you want, but you've just got to time it right.

    I've also yet to see if they reduced the AA range - if someone has a 1600x resolution, they can for example hit you ANYWHERE on Sharqi Peninsula if they sit at nearly ANY stinger site. I've been shot down while taking the front flag back, from the MEC chopper spawn point! I've been taken down the second I got into the MEC chopper from the US front flag stinger!! They should fix stuff like that!

    Ah I dunno....I need to give it some more time, because the way it is right now i'm really ****ed off at it. My fav class is now useless.

    Oh yeah and I forgot to mention the GFX bug with the C4 that makes it look like you're throwing 2 packs at once.

    just had a quickie 10-15min round there on that NOG server. seeing the UAV in the air was cool. i flew a chopper (the MEC black hawk yoke) twice and was mangled both time... by bullets, not AA... which pissed me off because i enjoy flying but i'll be delighted when i play on the ground and shoot down a chopper with 8 people on board :D

    also, those 2 unlocks we got 2 weeks ago or whatever. i assumed we'd loose them as soon as we patch, but i seem to still have mine... any reason for that?

    The chopper changes make you play differently. Rope and I got ****ed repeatidly for a while until we adapted. Just gotta be more careful, more sneaky and a bit quicker.

    Just after coming off our server there , sharqui . Was in the AA and the mec chopper was heading for me , I locked on , he dropped flares , I re-locked , he dropped flares , and dropped flares , and dropped flares . Do they reload that fast now ?

    I like it, new sniper rifle is awesome, little slower to reload but I suppose that balances out the weapon a bit. I can't/don't fly so I haven't noticed anything in that aspect. But THE best aspect of the new patch, if only for a few days, is opening fire on someone, only for them to leap in the air, then slowly realise they can't fire back. It's fantastic.

    WOW! The support gun is a bit scarely accurate now, took out a squad of about 4-5 others from a good distance on Oman 16. Damn that thing is accurate and powerful too :D

    You couldn't be more wrong. :) they can be set to go off various differant ways.

    Think the patch is good, but EA still have alot of work to do before this game comes close to finished... :)

    On the first day on the TiG server I got 12 kills in a few minutes , (my AA skills are a legend in my own mind ) . And I have seen this once before since the patch came out . Wonder if it was a bug , will test that later on this morning .

    managed to shoot down an apache last night with the PKM. Reminded me of ye old days of shooting down Hueys with an M60 in BFV. It was good :D

    Pff. I've shot them down with a pistol. Hypthetically you could do it with the knife, its pretty much whoever did damage last gets the kill.

    The nade launcher was changed?, don't think so, i spent 3 weeks weening myself off using assault and nade launcher in anticipation of the changes. On karkland last night and out of 10 deaths, 8 were by the nade launcher. So i said screw that and went with assault and promptly noobtubed myself into a very healthy kd ratio. the only thing thats changed it the impact radius, i fired a few yesterday which normally would've taken out 4 but it killed 2 and injured the others, just switched to pistol and took out the other 2.


    Snipers just Wow!! in this, i was pulling off shots i only dreamed of in other patches. got loadsa snipers kills, but recieved alot too.

    Support oh my f'in god, how good are they. bout time too, nothing worse than letting go with a volley into a group in the alleys at karkland only to be shot or noobtubed with no kills, 60% of my points were damage kill assists. Got 22 kills vs 5 deaths in 10 mins in sharqui today, which again i'd only dreamt of doing with support in previous patches.

    So far i really like, but have yet to try out AA, planes and heli's.

    Excuse me? My point is that you can shoot down a chopper with any weapon, its just the timing.

    The red blue glitch is still in it, i killed one of my own guys about 3 times last night, the annoyin thing is that when i checked what team his name was on it said the enemy :mad:

    The loading time is nothing,and no lag that counts for everything.First too join every round again.
    Can you answer me this,the servers you have in your favorites,how come they are all in red and cannot be joined any more,surley they have patched up by now.There seems too be alot of new servers up in the browser also.

    i have to love the way bunny hopping is dieing ( not dead yet you still see people jump around the map at a sniff of gun powder insert mario music where needed ) i think dice left that in for comedy value shame about the c4 i always found it hard to get the tanks without throwing but now the tank driver has to stop a wait for you the claymores are great because muppets ( you know who they are ) dont seem to notice the BIG RED X OR SYMBOL ON THEIR SCREEN but the fact the claymores are imposable to remove by normal infantry is a joke at least now it doesnt go off 10 feet away from a enemy now they have to stand at the front to set it off so you need to be clever about where you put it and that still doesnt stop gits punishing me when they decide to follow a player ( they are more than likely after anouther knife kill ) up a set of stairs and my claymore going off in the face a enemy and buy fluke getting them too
