I am thinking of moving from eircom to BT DSL.

I currently have a Netopia Wireless Router 3347W I think, will this router work with this service or will I need to configure it to work with BT's settings and finally what do you think of BT services altogether ???

Remember, there are no stupid questions, just stupid people :D

Anyway, the settings for Eircom DSL and BT should be the very same. Only the username/password will be different. Just change that in the router and it should work.

BT's service has always been fine for me, never a problem. All BT's problems seem to stem from billing/accounts and, to an extent, customer service. Prices and caps are better.

I'm currently using one on BT and jor el is correct.
    Simply change the username/password.

I concur. Just changing the username and password will sort you out.

I moved from Bt to eircom. I was willing to give up a bigger cap and cheaper price for some sort of customer service and a billing system that doesn't pull randon figures out of thin air.

Perfect answer to a perfectly reasonable question.

    But beware.

Take a look at 7.4 on the terms and conditions
