Scanner Recommendations?

As I already have a satisfactory inkjet printer, I'm just wondering if anyone has any good recommendations of standalone scanners. I had one until a good few months back and never replaced it when it broke; I'd like to get as good a one as I can (in terms of quality of scan, options, software etc, though mainly focusing on the quality), I definitely find i miss the ability to scan in images, documents etc. Not too worried about things like OCR or whatnot.

    Any thoughts?

I recommend the Epson Perfection 3490. A great scanner at a reasonable price.

Have an Epson here too, would recommend them. This one hasn't given an once of trouble. I don't use it too much for scanning images, mostly documents etc.

I had a HP before that and it never worked well. Was always hassle to scan something in.

Nice one, those Epsons do seem to come out fairly positive & I see Komplett has the one you Cal speak of (plus what appears to be the next one up). Decent price allright for sure.
