I missed Red Hot Chili Peppers in the Phoenix Park, due to my leaving Cert, and they're my favourite band.

Anyway, don't worry they'll be back

Probably in August at the RDS yet again with the exact same show since they live at that venue

Stupid decision by Metallica commercially and financially to play the gig since most of their fans will have their junior cert on during the gig. I'd say with the JC on only about 600 tickets will be sold.

I was being sarcastic when I said that. When they release their new album next year you can bet they'll be back...... it will be their home the RDS again.

I'd actually give you this bit of advice.

Don't buy your tickets, start studying for your english exam as your spelling and basic sentence structure is apauling.

Can you please clarify what you mean by this

Yes it is kinda Sh1t that its slap bang in the middle of the exams!! last year i missed Weezer and Velvet Revolver Due to the god damned Leaving cert.
How rude and inconsiderate of the State Exam board not to reschedule them!!!

I agree! It's only an exam, after all. What's on the day after?

as cliched as it sounds i have a life, one that i'm happy with.

alright so maybe i was a bit harsh on the chap, but tbh when a post is directed at me that doesn't make any sense it kind of gets annoying trying to decrypt the message.

I agree, last year during my leaving cert i went to Slipknot on a friday night and then to Slayer the next monday and tuesday when i had my french listening the noext day......my thoughts were if i don't know it by then i will never know it,so just do all your study way before the exam

Exactly, there's no point making excuses for yourself.

You have loads of time between now and the concert, so get studying soon so you can juggle the two. I doubt five hours on a Sunday night is going to make much of a difference, especially when all you'll be thinking about is the gig.

And more importantly, this is the Junior Cert we're talking about here folks. Nay much more to be said.

Excatly. I went to RHCP/Pixies during exams, and the vast quantities of substances allowed me to get a B in maths. :p It's not a big deal. Either you know your **** or you don't, and taking a little bit of a break isn't going to hurt you, ever.

slighlycrazy: Bit of advice, flaming = bad, mmkay?

Methinks I was at that Weezer gig too... 'Twas a cracker. :)
