Just pay for easynews you cheap gits. 8 euro for ~27gigs is not that hard to stomach.

Downloaded grabit but there seems to be quite a limited amount of stuff in the search results :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,839 ✭✭✭balkieb2002

Thats cause ya need a site like newzbin so ya know what your getting and getting it easily :D

    (btw mine costs $25 for 90gb :) )

Easynews works behind a proxy server for me, I tried one of the other ones and it didn't work, I am not sure about this one as I have yet to try it.

balkieb2002.... You know for that much you could be getting unlimited downloads with giganews instead ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,839 ✭✭✭balkieb2002

Yeah i've seen that but isn't that a monthly subscription??

i dont download that much evry month so my news provider lets me download the 90gb over how long i like without me ever having to pay more as its not subscription based. (Its a once off payment with as long as ya like to use!!)

what i also get with mine:
Anonymity - No logs are kept, Request for groups are anonymous, Anonymous Posting
Uncensored News - No newsgroups are censored
Completion - High number of peers. 99%+ completion
Speed - Multiple Gigabit links to the internet
Retention - 25 days on ALL groups
Posting Propagation - Well connected peers ensure excellent propagation of posts

Ah right, sounds very similar to easynews then, except without the monthly commitment. Who is that might I ask ? Not mad on the 25 days of retention, but it's not too bad. I think easynews are edging towards 40 these days.

    yeh the name is Astraweb.

40 days would be nice but i generally get what i need within 15 or so days so doesn't really bother me that much.
