Viewing Network Shares

I'm having a problem with a machine in the domain not being able to view network shares. It has a network connection, and all users can login to the
machine and download emails, browse the web etc.

But when it browses the local lan through windows explorer, it cannot see any of the machines in the domain or elsewhere. I can see the domain controller if I do a \\domaincontroller but this doesn't work for any other machines on
the network. It just says it cannot find the machine on the network. I've made sure that the computer browser service is automatically started. I've run ethereal and from it, it trys to connect to the remote machine by sending a SYN packet, but the remote machine always sends a RST reset packet in response.

So from the domain controller, I can see the machine listed in Active Directory
but from Windows explorer the machine is not listed. I can view it from windows explorer by doing a \\machinex, but this doesn't work from any other machines on the network.

I've removed the machine from the domain and then readded it to the domain, I've reinstalled the client for microsoft and file and printer sharing software, and nothing works.

    Anyone any ideas?
