    With AMD pushing out new chips this summer, its likely the X2 prices will fall too. Given it's accepted the X2 chips are generally much better than Intel Dual chips, I expect AMD won't be very worried by this.

    Any word on roughly when X2 prices are expected to fall? That'll be my next upgrade :)

    Just drop one of those babies in instead of my 3200 venice.

    Similar plans myself, to wait for the X2s to drop in price, and then replace my 3500 venice. It's the best value way to go IMO, Socket939 will do me grand for another year or so at least.
