Just wondering what is the preferred method for connecting my flat panel monitor to video card. VGA or DVI?

DVI would be better generally, what output does your video card have? I currently have my flat panel hooked up via D-sub (VGA) as that is the only cable have handy, but my card outputs from DVI, so I have to convert. If your card supports it you can get HD output via DVI, but not D-sub.

If you have both DVI on your TFT and your video card go with that. It produces a sharper more vibrant image.

Card and TFT support both VGA and DVI. Have it connected with DVI cable. Just wanted to be sure.

    Cheers lads,

DVI is digital all the way through, whereas with a VGA cable you will incur some digital to analogue conversion on one end, and back to digital on the other again - hence DVI is better.
