Not sure if this should go in Personal Issues or somewhere else like after hours, so if its wrong, "I'm Sorry" in advance.

My girlfriend of about 9 months is turning 21 soon and I need to get her a pressie (obviously :D ), but I have no clue what to get her! :(

She says that she doesn't want jewelery, or a trip away somewhere, and she has stuff like an iPod, and isn't in to a session at a spa, so I'm stumped.

She is saving up for a car so I thought I might give her money for that but it seems a bit of a strange gift from a boyfriend.

In case you haven't guessed by now I'm clueless so any help is greatly appreciated. :D

    Thanks.

Why not give her a voucher for a department store like Brown Thomas or Clerys etc.. Then make an appointment for her to have her own assistant to help her pick out some clothes/styles.. I have heard that you could do this in some places..

Petrol vouchers? Or maybe a valet for when she gets the car?

Heres an idea that I used last year. Firstly find out what was number 1 the day she was born. Try www.irishcharts.ie or www.everyhit.com If the songs arent suitable, then think of the song that the 2 of you share. Then get her a gold disc made, or silver is nicer! I think its gold disc ireland, do a search for Pat West DJs, its his business. I got that for my SO last year and it worked a treat, its different and not hugely expensive. If your a real romantic, look for a nice latin verse on the net to put on the plaque. Forget vouchers, its tacky and shows you actually dont give a toss bout her!

How about something romantic for her to wear? Pure silk? Perhaps buy something, including accessories? Go on the web and check out Victoria's Secret homepage. This is a very upscale store, and not one of those places of ill repute. You could select something fairly innocent to something hot, depending upon your knowledge of her likes and dislikes. They also do a great gift wrap at no additional charge. Of course, they will charge for handling and shipping. You will need to know her size, but don't give it away. Keep it a surprise.;)

On second thoughts if shes saving for a car and she already has an iPod get her this http://www.densionusa.com/icelink_info.htm

If you want something original it really has to be a luxury item that she wouldn't normally buy for herself, all this talk of driving lessions and petrol vouchers and vouchers in general is pathetic to be honest.

What's her personality like.. Is she shy? Maybe a meal out with her and some flowers for a start. Let her know that you appreciate her. If she's outgoing - What about a flying lesson or something?

I'm taking my gal to Rome next week for her 21st, worked out well. For starters do not use a travel agent as you will end up paying through the nose. I booked my flights with aer lingus and the hotel through ebookers and the total came to 500euros approx for 3nights in a 4* hotel for the two of us.

Money would be a good thing to give her if she's saving for a car, but there's no real thought in it!! You could get her something small too if you give her money... a nice bracelet or something! (I know she said she didn't want jewellery but if you give her money as her main present I'm sure she would be happy with a bracelet too!!)
Another thing you could do is throw her a party for her 21st!!! :D Or take her on a shopping spree and spoil her!!

    Buy her 21 presents:D !
Seriously though its a good idea they dont have to be expensive but 21 smallish presents like one could be a rose..another could be a mobile phone.. I mean you could even get her that furry dice for her car.. a teddy bear..

It could be 20 small trinkity presents then one substanial one..Like a voucher for a meal in a nice present..It is extremely thoughtful and from a girls point of view who wouldn't love to open 21 presents!!:p
