Canon 350D or 20D?

    A friend recommended that I purchase a Canon 10D or, if I could afford it, a Canon 20D. However I'm seeing so many people raving over their 350D's that I'm now confused over what I should buy!!

    Basically this is my first time with SLR's and I want a camera that I can take travelling with me (I'm thinking landscape, animals, people..) and that's going to last.

    So, 350D or 20D? Any help would be appreciated!

    if you've not used an SLR before, i'd advise the 350D, spend the money on better quality lenses rather than the body

    there'll be a replacement to the 20D coming out in about 2 weeks, so the 20D will go down in price, especially second hand

    you don't need either the 20D or it's replacement over the 350D if you don't know what the differences are

    my advice is based on me, being the owner of both a 20D and a 350D and someone who uses them both on a daily basis. also, i've been a Canon SLR user for about 15 years so i have some idea of what i'm talking about

    any specific questions about either camera, feel free to ask me

    most important thing to take from my advice: WHICH LENSES TO BUY IS FAR MORE IMPORTANT A QUESTION TO ASK THAN WHICH BODY TO BUY
