or anything... but why don't you convert your H10 to UMS?

That'd mean no more crappy iRiver software cos you'd be able to drag and drop (and use a tiny fast loading programme to syn the track listing).

And I haven't looked back since. iRiver software sucks. Converted the h10 to UMS - so now I drag and drop folders in. Ya then run a tiny free programme called Easyh10. It updates the directory listing of the player (otherwise new music wouldn't appear).

Instructions to convert the player to UMS

    Easy h10 software

I'll give it a shot, but is there any risk?

Honest answer - I don't know. I don't see why though. There is a disclaimer on the site that details how to do it but that may be just a matter of course.

But it's up to you. I think it's worth it. I also updated the firmware on the H10 which makes it faster. So now I have a faster player which is no longer reliant on crappy software - happy days!

Hi guys! I have an IRiver H10 and can't use it- hoping you can help!
I bought a new computer and am running Windows 7. When I tried to install my IRiver disc a message window came up staing I have to run Windows XP and the installation was aborted.

Do you know of any updated programs or alternatives programs I could download so I can utilyze my IRiver? I like the music that's on it but dang...I'd sure like to change it!!

You guys sure seem to know what you're talking about and I'd trust any help you'd give me. Thanks so much in advance!

    Regards,
    Amy
