have been given a sony klv-23hr3 lcd tv and sadly it doesn't have a vga or dvi port on it. i wouldn't mind using it as a pc monitor.. it's excess to my tv requirements otherwise!.. anyone know if it's possible to get one grafted onto it and if it's worthwhile... or shud i bite the bullet n try n trade it somewhere??

    many thanks

    Try s-video cable?

I've been wondering about that too, I know you can out an s-video form your graphics card, but someone said the quality is crappy...?

Just buy a trust televeiwer, very handy and you dont have to assualt your tv, connects via a scart plug :).

S-video is nowhere near as good as VGA or DVI, and you're limited to standard TV resolutions of 480 (NTSC) or 576 (PAL) lines.

Apple do a conversion lead from DVI to VGA, DVI to S-video and S-video to composite. I'm not sure if these will work with a PC as a mac detects the displays (I imagine Windows does similar).

Howver definition is poor. But DVD playback is quite good.
