I am currently looking into courses to do the academic year after next. i was looking at the BA in performance at the Music Academy. i know its hard to get but even so i would love to get some information from anyone that has studied there or knows someone who has. i looked at the web page and to be honest all it does is get you interested but has very little information if not none about Modules, Timetables and types of lectures and study lay out of course. by the time i apply ill have all requirements and only have to get past the audition gauntlet.

so if there is anyone out there who knows what happens in this course on a week - week-/ year to year basis, i would really appreciate first hand info and recomendations.

also, not exclusively Academy, any other course recomendations would be welcome.

    thanks for the help,

    Odin

You should probably head into the actual academy and ask the questions you need answers to. :)

I'm sure they'd have no problems helping you, plus you might get a tour.

actually you probably wont. tony the admin doesnt like students. it is a great course but does depend on the faculty ie brass-vocal-string-keyboard. i study there part time. got the BA perf course but decided i dont want to play viola for a living just yet so didnt take it. if you have any specific questions post them or PM them and ill do my best. i know the whole crew there seeing as im in there 3days a week.
a really good option is the diploma course. it is easier to get onto and is a full time course which gives you an idea of whether youd enjoy the BA. it does however cost about 4 grand for the year.
