I've been using it a few weeks now, but am still fairly oblivious to all the terminology etc being used by it. Can someone point me to a good guide.

    Thx.

To be honest, no. That's general poker lingo all of which I'm more than familiar with. I'm talking VP$IP and all that kinda stuff. All the terminology used in the poker tracker software as stated in the OP.

www.pokertrackerguide.com written by two well known poker writers. Costs a few $$. Can be down loaded so you dont have to wait for it in the post.

Is PokerAce the same as Gametime+? Basically puts the info in realtime? If not, i would advise it, very handy.

Yep, it's better than GT+. Although you have to pay for PAHUD, but worth it all the same

Can someone expliain to me the main advantages that they get from the PT? I've been battling with myself about getting it or not.

Is it useful for an STT player who constantly plays from different locations?

Does it have the ability to sit there and evalute players into a ranking system?

I did download to try out, but was a bit cyrptic, so I'd be interested to see how some of you might utilise the program.

Can someone give me a pointer on the filter si should be using to find bad players? I've left 10 tables open for 5 hours now and have loads of info.

Vol put $ into the pot is the fastest. Look for over 40% 6 handed

As an exclusive cash game player I find it invaluable. Using it in conjunction with PokerAce has helped me make countless calls for the win.

Aswell keeping track of how well you are doing on an hourly/per 100 hands basis can really put things into perspective for you.

It helps lineate bad and good patches to keep your poker ego constantly in check.

If its a question of "is it worth it?" Then my answer would be YES, many times over:v:

Thanks Cianos, I appreciate hearing players views on it.

I'm trying the free version again, I can enter 1000 hands so it might give me a better insight to it as well as the links in this post.

PokerAce is here btw. I very rarely look at PokerTracker now and just leave it running in the background with PA giving me the info.
