Just heard a rumour that the VRT rules will change so that people working in the North will not have to pay VRT for cars bought in the North, has anyone heard about this?

    Thanks

The VRt rules will not change for a long time.
If you want to avoid VRT then you must be a non resident (as per the revenues literature).
If someone is working up north but lives in the south then they are southern residents.
