extending ntl cabling

In my current setup the tv/bb are right beside the ntl cable point but Im planning on moving the tv from one side of the room to the other, about 10m away. I was thinking of extending the ntl cable before the filter/spliter for broadband and tv and then add the filter back on again in the new location. I read that this can cause problems with the ntl modem (signal strength etc) - so should I keep the modem beside the original point and use wireless ?
Also if i was to keep the modem beside the original point and just move the tv - is this a simple process of just laying some coax or is there more complications involved ? Should I get ntl out to do this - seems overkill for 10m ?

Extending the TV is just simple coax.

Extending before spliiter is just coax too, but decent connections and decent cable.

So you are saying that I should have no problems with ntl bb or tv (analogue) by extending the cabling before the tv/bb filter ?

The coax Im using is from maplin (http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=25917&criteria=coax&doy=13m2) and I cut it down to size - fairly bog standard stuff, not double shielded or anyting.

Im not sure what connectors I need - some sort of screw in ones, can anyone point me in the right direction and the best place to buy them (maplin??).
