Help with Thomson DHD 4000 Freeview recorder

My Thomson DHD 4000 displays the message "Insufficient free space for this recording" even though the Record List and the Record History are both empty. It will not even record a 15 minute news bulletin. On the display at the bottom there is only a small amount of yellow (free space) showing. Any help or suggestions would…
