Bringing new McIlroy from Northern Ireland

Hi all

I am due to pick-up my brand new McIlroy A35c from Dermot McIlroys factory in Antrim any weekend now. My question is this;

Can I go and pick it up and bring it back down some Saturday without getting hit for tax?

Yup, you won't be taxed. You won't get taxed if bringing stuff in from other European countries.

Really? But how come you pay tax on bringing something in from Thomann?

That's VAT. McIlroy's are probably already charging you 17.5% UK VAT in your purchase price but rest assured you have absolutely positively no tax to pay bringing anything in from the EU (except motors :rolleyes: )

What pick up did you end up going for edja? Oh yeah there is an A30 in Perfect Pitch this week I think. Got an email saying they had got one in. Might pop in and try it tomorrow
