Go to club called Thompsons Garage http://www.clubthompsons.com/ great place if you are into funky vibes and nice people - depends what you are into really....That is the first thing that springs to mind - is it more tourist things you want? What are your interests? Sight-seeing, pubs, clubs etc...

If you have a car, drive along the coast to Coleraine/Derry - it is one of the most scenic drives I've ever been on (Glens of Antrim). Visit the Giants Causeway & the rope bridge. Carnlough is lovely, or you could head out towards Bangor

I went to Belfast twice but I only got to really see the place when I did a bus tour.

Can't remember the company but there double decker open-top buses that leave from beside McDonalds on that main street that leads up to city hall.

It's only about 45 mins if you stay on it, but you get to see a good bit of the city, the places you hear about like Falls and Shankhill roads, where the Titanic left from and other places. It's a hop-on/hop-off kinda thing so you can get off explore and then get on and see more of the city later. They kinda stress it's safe enough, but there were some kinda riots going on when we were up there, but we only saw it on the news.

Think it's about 7 pounds or something. Definitely worth it, cos you see the place, get a good background of the city and it's not boring.

    Hi all,

Just to add, if you are looking for self-catering, have a look at http://www.irishcottagetorent.com/. Its a lovely renovated cottage, within striking distance (by car) of Belfast. A great place to relax in. We had a great weekend there recently.

    Cheers

    Mike
