OK so a rather unusual bargain here, but I thought it was good value. Supervalue in Balbriggan are doing a full tray 24 cans, today only it says for €6.99. That works out at about 29c per can.

Yeah it's pretty shocking the margins shops make on some stuff.

Check the out of date code on the bottom.
Normally when shops sell stuff like that for that price, the out of date is very very close.
Wholesale they are just over 50c a can including VAT.
I assume they are the full size can and not the mini ones?

It probably means they are either:.........
    OOD, or Nearing OOD,
    or
Have had somthing spill on them,

Be carefull,........otherwise its almost too good to be true. ;)

yeah when coke spills it has to be sold at dirt cheap price ...its easily the worst smell ever ..where i work we had a pallet that came in one day ...the next day when we went into the store room it stunk out the whole storeroom and there was 3 trays burst and we had to sell the pallet i think 3 trays for a tenner and if you bought 5 u got 2 free

    so be careful

I used to work in dunnes a tray of their own brand cola got crushed somehow and it got all over the rest of the cans. Me an another guy spent a day cleaning them and the smell was sickening. Sad part is we then had to fill the coke machine with them knowing that just that morning they where covered in dead flys. Moral of the story is not all shops just sell it off in fact id say in most cases its coke or someone selling them nearly out of date cases they need to ship before they expire and just selling them at as much as the shop will take them for. Superqueen are always doing deals with almost out of date stuff.
