That Pint is coming Des... With interest.

    In brief:

75 runners paid last 10 ... When it got down to last three I had nearly half the chips... on around 245K - A guy from Eastern Europe by the looks of his name Vrolik or something... was on around 160ish and Colin Studdard who finished second in Drogheda was on around 110K - I saw Colin as the main threat rather than the guy who was second in chips... So whilst it was generous the 26.5K was chopped up 10k to me - 8.5k to Vrolik [Sorry con't know name] 7k to Colin with the remaining 1k going to the dealers. I know I could have probably held out for a better deal but it was 2.30 and I'm up all night tonight working - and playing ppp Irish Open Qual... so I think the deal was good for everyone. After all I could have just enede up with 4k if I had finished third ... Original split was 15k, 7.5k, 4k.

I'll write a fuller report later...

Oh and Happy Birthday to both Des and Nicky for yesterday...:D

Congrats Len. Every time I looked over your stack was increasing! Nice payday and the deal doesn't sound too bad for all parties. I've heard of worse..! I never got going and apart from AA in the second level my best hand was TT and AQo.. Went out in 26th I think. Great tournament though and I really liked the 5pm kick off.

Nicky, did u end up going down to the SE?

Congratulations, Len. Sounds like you are still in the middle of that bad run. :)

Is that guy from eastern Europe that guy in his mid-twenties from Kaunas, Lithuania? A nice guy and a good player. I was on a table with him once when he whispered to me "I am waiting for a hand. When I get it he will be leaving" We were having problems with a really irritating player.

Alex Volkov is his name. French sounding accent but Eastern European. However, despite him being in mid 20's, I suspect you might be thinking about someone else. I'd be surprised if it was him who said, "....When I get it he will be leaving", it's just not his style imo. I could be wrong. He knows some of the Eastern European Fitz croups so I might enquire further. He won the Fri Scalps in a deal too. 10K in almost exactly 24hrs from 2 tournies for him, not bad.
