Just analysing my first 3000 hands in Poker Tracker and my most profitable hands are quite unexpected.

    1. 22
    2. JTs
    3. 99
    4. 88

AA comes in at number 9.

    My bottom four hands are

    1. A9s
    2. KQs
    3. T9s
    4. KK

Looks like im one of those people who cant let KK go with an A on the flop.

    From 26k hands

    Most Profitable
AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AQs, KQs, 77, 99, AKs, 68s

    Most expensive
    A8s, Ajs, A4s, QJs, 44, Q8s, k4s, 75o

Funny to think Id be nearly 1k better off if Id never played 75o.

You must not have too many hands. Over time this will equalize ... and AA will be by FAR the biggest winner. KK 2nd and then usually QQ followed by a mix of the rest of the pairs and big suited Aces, and probably AK

    (usually)

PS - I wrote this before I noticed that its "after 3000 hands". 3k is nothing. Get to 20k and you will get some idea, and even then its only the short term.

Do you think a big losers hands would tend to equalise over time in a similar fashion? (Nothing to do with the Original poster!)

Im not sure. I think that the pairs + big suited Aces and AK tend to be the best NL hands regardless of format.

I guess that there will be differences in the big losers, because of some big weird losses on some hands, that will simply be different for different people.

e.g. I had a monster loss with a Q8o hand. I never normally play Q8o, but I was in the BB, and ended up losing a monster pot with it. It therefore occupies bottom spot, and I doubt that I will ever do much to change that, as its not a hand I regularly play.

I am completely making this up, and have no idea if this is true or not.

I really need to be clearer, I meant for the players who are big losers!

Yeah, I still think that the top X% of hands will still end up similar.
Fact is in NL poker, the pairs, big suited Aces and AK are the best hands, and thats the way it is.

Making more than others with those hands, and winning more than others with more marginal hands like J9s, or losing less than others with trash hands like 63o, is usually what makes a winning player win.

Thats just a guess, I would check my own database, but unfortunately, I'm currently a winning player.

    lol

Ive seen ppl play AA so badly on more than one occasion that I think its possible a bad players rankings will be distorted, as they might play QQ much better in general. Probably the inherint strength of AA overides this though. Also many bad players play so erratically that its going to lead to distortion.

Well im up a large amount in that number of hands. I've only had AA 9 times in that data set and KK 11 times.

1 reason KK is in my bttom for is a sick bad beat with a guy calling all in for $290 on the turn with an unpaired AQ and hitting an A on the river

Other bad players will pay em off while they are playing their AA badly enough times.

Some players overplay Ax hands, so these will be big losers for some people but not others.

    Most Profitable Hands Total

    KK, AA, QQ, Ako, 88

    Most Profitable Per Hand

    KK, AA, QQ, 88, 66

    Least Profitable Total

    JTo, A6o, 86o, J4s, 87s

    Least Profitable Per Hand

    87s, ATs, J4s, A9s, KQs

Most of my least profitable are due to a point that fuzzbox made, I was outdrawn in one hand where I hit a monster from the BB and therefore it sits at the bottom of my rankings. As I'm not in the habit of playing those hands I don't have a chance to change it around.
