    hi does any body know of some software that will allow me to make and receive calls threw my pc instead of runing for the phone i know it came on pcs about 10 years ago
    please help

    Go to skype.com and download the software. Its great. I use it regularly. It's free to download and free to call other Skype users. You can call landline and mobile phones if you buy credit (not expensive).

    Oh wait - I think you mean that you want to answer your land line calls via your pc..............?

    Cordless phone?

    There is software for this, but the quality is rubbish. A cordless phone is the best option.

    You can use Skype in. That assigns a number to your skype account, so people can ring you on a proper number. It's €30 a year though.
