    Howdy folks,
Just to let anyone who's interested know that I'm running a BJJ training group on a Friday evening 8-9pm at my gym in Glasnevin. It's just the one night for the moment but I'm hoping to get a 2nd night soon.

The websites in my signature for anyone who wants to know how to get there or contact me.

    Cheers,
    Barry

It's on the northside of dublin city, about 5 miles from the city centre.

Near DCU, near finglas, near ballymun. dublin 9 or 11 depending.

    Hey Roper,
Good luck with that. That starting this Friday? I live the other end of griffith avenue, so might give it a look.

    ninja

It's been running about 6 months or so sort of informally. But we (as in me) are just getting ourselves sorted with formal times etc. since the new year. Pop down anytime. All welcome.

TTT... cos, eh... I like using that abreviation?

I was struck on another thread by peoples humility in not promoting themselves or their classes. I thought to myself, damn that's beautiful, wish i had a bit of that.
Alas, no, I don't so ttt for me.

Just thought i would give my experience of the class last week. Really nice fun crowd not intimidating at all. I went down by myself and was soon chatting away with everyone. I'd recommend anyone whose interested to head down and have a roll.

LOL at "crowd" Dave! Not too many of us last week! It was nice having you down. Feel free to come down again.

Roper was that an unsolicited post about your training group or do you now have to pay Dave :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,448 ✭✭✭Roper

Ger, for all you know I could be Dave:D

    Ok !!!!

Roper/Dave so are you going to pay yourself then :D

    unsolicited,
Roper can you please relesase my family now?
    David

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,448 ✭✭✭Roper

I'll come clean. That wasn't actually your family I kidnapped David. I just lined up a few Fisher Price figures, put tape over their mouths and took a blurry photo. To be honest I'm surprised it worked. You can retract your statements now and I'll hand myself into the Gardai, or Action Man, whoever deals with toy abductions...

    Worlds largest bump!

There is a good reason for bumping this back to the top though! Our BJJ training group now trains twice per week. So if you're interested pop down on either day or give me a bell 085- 8320174

The times for BJJ are below. As with all classes at our place, this one is completely open to anyone, whether you're starting the martial arts for the first time or maybe looking to add grappling to your existing skillset.
    Cheers,
    Barry

    Tuesdays: 8,45pm- 9.45pm
    Fridays: 8pm- 9pm

Full class timetable is available here: http://uk.calendar.yahoo.com/komartialarts

I plan on taking full advantage of this bump to tell all who are training in BJJ/Sub wrestling to get those entry forms in for the NSC (probably the sexiest competition this year).

Entry forms can be downloaded from www.mma-ireland.com/events or you can email me at colm[at]twokingsmma.net

Remember, entries received before May 5th do not incur the dreaded late registration fee!

    Thanks for the props Mark

Tralee extreme fighting became Gracie Barra Tralee last december under Lagarto by permission from Carlihinos Gracie given to myself and Tom Patton.

You can thank John Kavanagh and like minded individuals (and groups) who have promoted the skills, effectiveness and benefits of BJJ over the last few years. Training groups have sprung up all over as a result.

    It's all good;)
