This is a pretty good video of a street fight. Its some punk kid versus another punk id who thinks he knows gracie Ju jitsu. I liked it, especially the little suprise he has from mount!

    Peace

That was pretty good. That wrestler kid had him done at least twice but the kid in green seemed the better natural.

I have an mpeg of a challenge match in Brazil. One guy, Robin Gracie the other Riccio. Its really a great example of how to combat the BJJ guard. The head butt nuetrelizes all.

    Arnagan,

If you're talking about combatting BJJ guys who just lie there and hug there opponents then I'd agree with you that a headbutt can really make things harder for a BJJ guy on bottom. Theres suddenly three weapons to dodge against rather than two.
    The head butt nuetrelizes all.
Now, I'd have to contest this. To deliver headbutts effectively within the guard of a skilled groundfighter you have to be a good groundfighter yourself. That doesnt mean you necessarily have an amazing subs game or even guard passing but you need good base. You need to be able to make space to charge that headbutt and to avoid being swept. So a good wrestler (look at Mark Coleman in his prime) could do it but I think good skills are very necessary. Otherwise your gonna we sitting with your head being pulled down to the guys chest repeatedly.

Tell you what, lets have a science experiment. I'll sit in your closed guard John, and I'll try and K.O. You with headbutts while you try to tap me. We'll vid it and post it up afterwards.:D

It'll be..... fun.... I love scenario training

Sounds like a great idea Roper. You should make the final adjustments
    1. not closed guard, just guard.
    2. allow head butts, eye pokes, biting (so fish hooking aint an issue) and pressure points.

I'd love to see that an maybe Kav could go easy of maybe give you a few tries?

Anyway, what I love about the headbutt thing is this, it's the exact wrong thing to do. You break your own posture, your lessen you punchs etc.

JK Versus Roper with head butts - Zuffa, make it happen.

    Peace

Oh no way, you're letting me use pressure points? Are you trying to kill the guy?
