I dont know really - I think Myler is a huge signing for the 1st division. He is proven in the premier, so should bang them in from all angles in the first. Also, Gill is a very good manager.

It seems the only thing we will all be agreeing on is Waterfords relegation.

He hasn't signed yet, Longford want money, we want him on loan untill July (when his contract runs out) and sign a pre-contrat with him, which is what he wants because he just wants to play every week.

It might get sorted, it might not, but if we don't get him before the season starts expect him in Micky O'Connors blue and black army by the middle of the summer.

    Premier Division:
    1st - Shelbourne
    2nd - Derry City
    3rd - Cork City

Howcome everyone has such high hopes for Cork? They've lost a lot of players and everyone knows if Shels performed close to their full potential last year, they probably would have won it.

    FAI Cup - Derry City
    League Cup - Longford Town

    Europe:

Cork City to get to 2nd qualifying round of CL
Derry City to get to 2nd/3rd UEFA Cup q. round
Drogheda United to get to 2nd UEFA Cup q. round
Shelbourne to get to an Intertoto semi-final

    First Division:
    1st - Galway United
    2nd - Shamrock Rovers

City have lost 2 players, one who was in and out of the team - Greg O Halloran, and another player, who was crap for the 2nd half of the season - Liam Kearney. Hardly 2 huge losses. The big players are still there - George, O Donovan, Gamble, Bennett, Devine etc. There are a few trialists with the team at the moment, who Rico looks like he may sign.

Also, if you factor in the 'crisis' City were in 11 months ago, no one gave Rico a snowballs chance in hell, and see what happened. If people want to talk City down, great, because not many are talking them up.

I dont follow? If my aunt had a dick she'd be my uncle etc. Shels were 3rd best in the league last season, picking up 1 out 9 against City (2 games in Tolka), and correct me if Im wrong, 0 out of 9 against Derry. Shels simply werent good enough last season, and have alot to prove to alot of people, not least their own fans in the coming season.

i think they finished very well, like cork did in 2004, so maybe they've put their house in order

Well, Shelbourne found out this year how some injuries at the wrong time can be difficult. Not the full cause, but a factor. i dn't think Cork will have a big enough squad to keep up a challenge if they get a few knocks to kep players at the same time. All ifs and buts really.

    Premier Division:
    1) Shelbourne
    2) Derry City
    3) Cork/Drogs

    11) Waterford
    12) Dublin Team #5

    First Division:
    1) Galway
    2) Rovers

    FAI Cup: Derry
    League Cup: Bray

Setanta: Hard to see past Linfield tbh.

    Europe:
CL: Cork to make QR2 and go out on away goals.
UC: Drogs to draw and lose either leg of QR1. Derry to make QR2.
IT: Shels to be the first irish team to make a European Final... :)

I think the title race will go all the way to the wire between Shels and Cork. I think its going to be very hard to seperate those two and im hard pushed to decide on which one will win it. Cork have lost Kearney to Shels which I think is a great signing for Shels even if Kearney did struggle at the tail end of the season. Kearnet isnt as good as Wes but on his day he isnt far behind. Im a Bray fan at heart but not a crazy fan so all im really hoping for is another entertaining season like last season that will raise more interest in the league.

Im looking for all the Irish sides to put up a good showing in Europe. Shels should do well in the Inter Toto as long as they get some favourable draws. Cork will have the eperience from last season which should help them this season although getting through the first qualifying round will be a good result. I dont think Drogs have the experience for Europe yet and they could struggle unless given a good draw but as we saw with Longford, a good draw doesnt mean you will go through.

As for who will struggle, I think Waterford and CHF will find it tough. Im hoping Bray can push on from last season and stay clear of bottom the table scraps and I think they will.

As for the first division im hoping Athlone as my girlfriend is from there and her brother used to play for them but tbh I cant see them doing it. Galway for me with Rovers possibly coming econd if they can get a good start.

Im making a good effort to get more into the EL this season so expect me to actually know whats going on this season :D

Premier Division Champions - Drogheda (no reason why, just a gut feeling)
    2nd - Shels
    3rd - Cork
    4th - Derry
    5th - Bohs

    Setanta - Cork

    FAI Cup - Bohs

Lge Cup - Bohs again (sure why not while I'm at it ;) )

Europe - call me crazy but I think I'll wait til the draw.
