A few months ago I ordered sky for the house. Was told I will receive the card in 10 days. No sign of it 2 weeks later so I rang. They said there has been some mistake made and will send it out immediately. Another 2 weeks pass and I rang again- they said that I cancelled the order (which I definitely didn't). I did now.
About 25 days ago I decided to get it again. Ordered... same thing... 10 days. I am still waiting. Whats the story with them?
If thats what they think of customers- I'm definitely not getting it installed now.
Will have to do with Chorus.

i cant remember but did you order from sky directly or via an installer.
if your just looking for basic channels go for a ftv system, freesat cards can be got on ebay with digiboxes.

FreeSat card only adds C4, Five and Sky3.
Chorus used to be much worse than your experience.

See here for free channels. Unlike Chorus you own all the Sky gear from Day 1 and can downgrad package at any time with one month notice, cancel after a year and still have all these:

Also ring sky any time even a year or so after cancelling and get back whatever pay packages in minutes as long as card was in box on preceding day or so.

The installer had our cards when we got it installed. Why are they posted to some, but the installer has it for others?

Don't quote me on this but, I think that if you sign up with Sky directly, then the card will be posted to the customer. Whereas, if you sign up with a Sky agent, the card will be posted to the agent and handed to the installer when installing.

We signed up via an agent and the cars were posted to us. When they arrive you then ring the installer and arrange a time with them.

The 1st time I ordered it was directly to sky. 2nd time it was through a local installer. He told me to ring him when I receive the card.
