I'm hoping someone may be able to help me with this .
All day yesterday on any channel including sky news I have been getting a blue screen with "there is a technical fault with this channel" error .I tried removing the card and reinserting it again but it didn't make any difference .I also plugged out the digibox overnight and have just tried it now when I finished work but it is the same thing .Has this happened to anyone or dose anyone know a fix ?

I have had that problem before , it only occours when I change cards to my FTV card.
I solve it by pluging out box for roughly ten seconds and plug it back in , it then takes around onther ten seconds or so for it to let you power up the box.
This is with a Pace box.

Another way I solve my problem with boxes initializing is to tune in a FTA channels in the add channels section.

Change card while in Interactive on Sky News.

Thanks for your suggestions, unfortunatley none of them worked so I had to call out a fella to fix it . He said the element was gone in the dish . Charged me 85 quid to fix it:(

"element" - its not a kettle!

The LNB could have failed, though.

I am well aware it is not a kettle . "Element" is what the man said.

then the man was wrong, it was most likely the LNB, there is no element on a satellite dish.

tea anyone? :D i was thinking it could of being a problem with the 22hz switching, but this would only result in a No satellite signal being received message.

I can understand the confusion between L. E. MENT AND LNB. especially if you garble the words while asking for your money. On another query should I replace the zif tuner on a pace digibox which displays "no satellite signal being received" or are there any other simpler remedies that I should look at first. I have tried all the sky recommendations to no avail. The box is probably worth spending 36 euros on, It was seldom used.

It costs 18 Stg for tuner. The boxes needing those are now quite slow with Sky SW. Considerable desoldering skill and desolder braid or re-workstation is needed. It's the 2500 series the tuners die on.

Indeed there is no G'tee the expenditure of money and time to replace tuner would be rewarded.
