Personally I think he's acting like a child.

And I don't even think Brian McGuigan deserved an all-star last year. He played great in the final, but in no other game. I've been told the all-stars cover the Championships and NFl. And McGuigan didn't even play in the NFL. Or Tyrone's first two Championship games.
I reallyv don';t known where this notion of him being a shock omisson came from.

Paddy Bradley and Ross Munnelly deserved an all-star much more than McGuigan.

And if Frank thinks its worthless......then why not give it away?

Its easy to get emotional over sporting memorabilla.

Personally I thought McGuigan deserved an All Star (at the expense of Peter Cananvan).

Frank McGuigan has stated that he was very disappointed that Brian did not get an All Star. Agree or disagree he has a right to that opinion. He now feels that the All Stars are a joke (he's not alone), and therefore his own has no personal value to him. However, he knows its worth a lot of money to others. It is his property, so again he has every right to sell it for as much as he can get.

I dont see anything wrong in what he is doing.

No different to someone having an antique vase in their cupboard that they dislike, but have discovered that its actually worth a few grand. The vast majority of people would try and sell such an item for as much as they could.

Highest bid at the close of the auction was €8,200 - which did not match the reserve, so no sale.
