    Earphones

I'm looking for a set of earphones in dublin like the Shure E2C's but cheaper.

My Sennheiser m450's have given up and i want to get a set of noise isolation phones.

I know peats and the sony centre but i'm just wondering if there is a dedicated audio shop in dublin with a good selection of phones.

I know i could get a better deal online but i need them this weekend, i'd go stircrazy if i didn't have earphones for a week.

    Any Suggestions?

I would wait. wind130 on ebay does E2Cs delivered in about 3 days. €70 from wind130, €150 in peats. I would go without for a few days for €80!

Is there anywhere worth looking in?

They don't have to be e2c's.

Although, r e2c's by far the best, is there a huge difference between them and sennheiser mx450's?

    not sure. check out www.head-fi.org

The thing is that high end gear gets a huge mark-up, they sell very little like a jewellers. IME the higher end the electronic item, the more savings to be had online.

Could u tell me if earphones get a one-year warranty from sale.

My Sennheiser mx450's have broken(left earpiece failed). I have the receipt but i'm not sure if they will replace them.

wats wrong with Argos? they also have decent earphones at decent prices, do not compare with online pricing. i rarely buy things online nowadays, just coz i don't want to wait for the post. plus stimes, if i do a refund i can quickly get back to the shop.

Cool, went into peats on saturday. Where i bought the mx450's. They just opened a new packet of earphones and handed them to me.

Still gettin the e2c's though. mx450's are a nice backup pair though.

I want some of those Shure E2Cs too.

I went onto eBay and did a search. I saw a few people selling them for €30 - could that be right? i didn't trust them.

rubadub - maybe you could give me a link to wind130, as i couldn't find that (user?)

    Fester,

Check out the postage and insurance. You usually find that these are very high, bringing the total cost to €70-80.

I think the sellers pay less comission to Ebay or something.

looks like she is not selling them at the moment. To find users click on advanced search in ebay and on the left there is an option to find users, then search all their items on sale.

maybe Energizer will list his seller.

    Energizer,

That's the same guy I purchased from last Thursday!! Got an email to say they're in the post.:D

When did you order? I think he had another pair for sale when I got mine.

Can you let me know when you get your earphones?

    Fester,
BTW, he still has a pair for sale here, http://cgi.ebay.ie/New-Sealed-Shure-E2c-Earphones-Apple-iPod-Nano-Video-U2_W0QQitemZ5867980869QQcategoryZ112529QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

That's ~€75 depending on exchange rate but you might want to wait and see how it works out for me and Energizer first!!

I'm just worried that An Post have fecked up the delivery.

Have troubles with An Post before.

When you have your E2Cs, you'll soon need to get the buds for them. This is the best place I've found :

    http://store.yahoo.com/earplugstore/eaandearbu.html

I saw E3Cs for $100 somewhere about 2 months ago but haven't been able to find it since. I bought my e2cs (to go with my iRiver) in California (Fry's) but the online prices are good. Great sound once you get the fit - i eventually realized that I needed a different size in each ear. Now I can leave them in for 15 hour flights, including sleeping with no hassle They are fantastic on a plane.

my third fontopia's are starting to crumble at the seems :(

i may make the investment in e2c's, since they're being pimped to much here. any stores in dublin sell them reasonably, or is online the only way to go?

Just got my e2c's last night, bloody cool. Trying to get the best fit now!
