Sky+ technical fault numbers

Thought I was getting another live pause failure last night since the software upgrade (is everyone else still not seeing these anymore?), but I'm not so sure now.

I was recording Horizon on BBC2 while watching UKTV Gold. About 9:05 I realised I'd seen the Little Britain show that was on, so decided to watch the Horizon recording from the beginning while it was still recording. I've done this many times in the past, but last night the playback was just frozen, with no video controls responding. Of course, I couldn't reboot because that would have screwed up the recording!

Anyway, once Horizon was finished, I found the recording still unplayable, and the info screen reported "Recording Failed - technical fault 10". So I guess there might have been a problem right from the start of the recording and I wouldn't have got it anyway (although the planner was displaying "Recording..." during the broadcast.)

So does anyone know what the technical fault numbers mean?

    something similar happened to me
i was watching something recorded and then wanted to watch the west wing from the start, which I had been recording. this was about 15 mins into the program.

when i tried to play from start the pic froze on what was the current "live" output. when i went back to the planner it had Last Viewed 712555 minutes or something ridiculous like that, it was over 700,000 minutes anyway

ended up watching live and missed the first 15 mins :-(

Yes! I forgot to say that I too got saw that 71x,xxx last viewed number while it was recording! If I pressed left to select the beginning as start position, it just came up with a frozen screen when I tried to play back. If I tried to select to start playing from say 5 mins in, I got a message saying it was an invalid time.

So I'm wondering if it's all just a consequence of the recording having failed at the start with 'technical fault 10', so the playback screen was simply screwed up? Once the programme is over, you can't get into the playback screen anyway if a recording is labelled as failed....
