    hello.

i've been googling like mad looking for an 18 dvd set of the entire world series since 1973 that I've been led to believe exists. but to no avail.

i got a loan of a dozen dvds from a customer of someone who makes dvds and sells them here in Ireland and EVERY single one of them is skipping, crappy freezing, terminating, sucking. i'm very very annoyed.

anyhoo, if anyone has an info on the 18 dvd series starting in the 1970s give me a shout and we might do some business. even if u only have a link.

i have the second series of the WPT on dvd and would be willing to allow someone to borrow it if they were to assist me in anyway. (skirting the issue of the concept of dvd copying).

any general ideas or opinions welcome but i'm looking for old fashioned stuff not the easily available stuff from amazon.
    cheers ladies, d.

thats very generous, it turns out someone i know has the same and has offered me a loan but if they have been recorded by the same fellow who recorded the stuff i have seen then i may have to take up ur generous offer.

man, i really hate the person who records these things with so little respect for his craft.

    tx again, des

Des ive 'Owning Mahowney' on dvd, i think you'd enjoy it. I can bring it along to loan you tomorrow if you like?. If you had any Stu Ungar book or something in exchange would be good?.
    Region1 mind you?

Dan Mahowny was a rising star at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. At twenty-four he was assistant manager of a major branch in the heart of Toronto's financial district. To his colleagues he was a workaholic. To his customers, he was astute, decisive and helpful. To his friends, he was a quiet, but humorous man who enjoyed watching sports on television. To his girlfriend, he was shy but engaging. None of them knew the other side of Dan Mahowny--the side that executed the largest single-handed bank fraud in Canadian history, grossing over $10 million in eighteen months to feed his gambling obsession.
