Hi I find that some moderators, very few abuse their authority by banning as they wish, also by not banning other users because they are their friends or other reasons. What do you think? What about having some names, so we know who is guilty and who should be demoted. I think if the thread is left open some Admins can see…

What about having some names, so we know who is guilty and who should be demoted.

I think at this point who really cares about another thread like this? This topic has been done to death, if you were really interested in such a topic, you could just have -->trolled<-- through feedback and gotten all your answers from there.

They are the moderators. They have been chosen to do their job because they have shown reason, intelligence and fairness throughout their time on boards. It's a crap task, I did something similar many moons again and it is thankless, dull and actually quite often sucks the pleasure out of using sites such as this. They are a mod, you are unlikely ever to be, get over it.

i can't answer the poll as there is not a box to tick that my opinion on the matter fits.

i think it does happen that they are unfair every so often but they are not getting paid and are not trained supreme court judges so i don't care.

Do you not think that the moderators will check to see who has been banned in the last few hours and ban you completely?

Having said that, it is only a piece of software which like any other is open to exploitation.

Oh, and OP, the mods can check your post IP, compare it to anyone banned recently, and if they find a match, both nicks get a perm site-ban for trying to get around a ban.

Just out of curiosity, how do moderators overcome DHCP? I would imagine that could cause a problem with IPs changing etc.? I suppose it would involve making an educated guess.
