Hi few of us looking for a get away. Somewhere southwest/west. Hoping to find an Island holiday on one of the smaller islands just to get out of work for a weekend and wander around and get drunk. All mid 20's from Kilkenny. Maybe get in some fishing or whatever is on offer.
    Any suggestions please:D

I always suggest Inis Sheer (Inis óir) which is the smallest of the Aran Islands. It's about 40 mins by boat from Doolin, County Clare. It's a great spot altogether with very friendly locals.. In the summer, it really is paradise, although I could easily imagine it being a bit dreary at this time of year.

I'd suggest Inis Meáin, cos i prefer it!

Dunno if any of the b & b's are open at this time of year though

Inis Mean is like a bigger version of Inis Sheer with half the amount of things to see/do. Definately Inis Sheer! I've been there 7 times and never got bored!!
