    :confused: hi im trying to set up an internet connection on a laptop with win2k, its a wireless broadband connection please help with the set up.

    It should be very straigt forward ,there should be a setup wizard to help you.

    What way have you connected the laptop to the internet/router?

    i just put the cable into the back of the laptop, it is telling me the connection speed 10.0 mps, but i still cant set up the internet connection. i have xp on my own computer and it is straight foward, just cant figure this out :mad:

    assuming you have set up things like your ISp told you to.

    Click Start-->Connect To-->Show all connections

    Click create a new connection over in the top left.

    Select connect to the internet.

    Set up connection manually

    select a broadband connection that is always on.

    Next open internet explorer (i assume you are using this) Then select tools--> Internet options-->Connections and select never dial a connection.
