i reckon everybody on the boards should pick the same horse and see if we can narrow it down to one.i see that the listener is running and he was a horse that i put in my notebook a while back.he jumped like a show jumper and he ran the best race i have seen for a while.he is 40/1

Can't have BOS for the Gold Cup,the race is never run to suit him pace wise and he doesn't act on the track.

The Listener is highly unlikely to run in the Gold Cup, if her does run at Cheltenham it will be in the Sun Alliance. There's a big doubt about his running at all due to the likely going being against him.

Monkerhostin is the class horse this year.
I've gone for Hedgehunter also at 20/1 as I can see him staying up the hill better than anyone.

Anybody hear what way they're leaning with War of Attrition? Ryanair or the G Cup?

I am going for Monkerhostin for the Gold Cup.

The way he steamed home against Kicking King in the King George on Stephens day is the main reason he gets my vote.. I had a substantial bet on Kicking King that day and he really had me worried..

BOF and Cheltenham -- they just dont match :-)

Got a tip from a shrewd owner that has horses with the philip hobbs yard and he heard that the yard are expecting a really big run from one knight in the gold cup and he even said the lad that rides him out said he would be an e.w cert if he gets to cheltenham fully fit. He's currently 16/1 with boylesports but im sure if you shop around you might even get 20/1.Im going to make him my 4th antepost bet on cheltenham along with my 3 other's(Fota island 10/1,Al eile 20/1 and blue shark 25/1)

Monkerhostin for me also. Have always fancied this horse and has performed at Cheltenham in the past. At times BOS jumping doesnt fill me with confidence. Fell at least once in the Gold Cup(more?). Also last time out was lucky to survive an early mistake.

I know that im just giving my view on the race and what ive heard as ive got contacts and im sure i know more about horse racing than you do.I spent 2 years in the curragh training to be a jockey. My uncle owns and train's race horses and ive being involved with horses since i was 6.I was a jockey for 4 years with a few point to point winners over the years.Im now attending college doing multimedia so i can get invloved in the media side of horse racing/tv/photography.I also work in a local radio station(tipp fm).I also help my uncle run his yard, involving declaring horses etc.One knight who won the sun alliance chase a few years ago came back from his layoff to run a really big race in the welsh national when falling at second last or third last when still in front. He then unseated rider at the second fence last time out even though he isnt the best of jumpers he is proven over the course and distance in cheltenham unlike other horses such as beef or salmon who in my opinion will never win a gold cup.Every trainer runs there horses thinking it will win what ever race it is even if its towester. Also i never said he will win the gold cup i said he was a e.w chance at 16/1.
