anyone else hear that barcode are startin an entry fee now, from this week?
8e-thursday and sunday
10e-other days

plus the drink is all normal price, not 3e anymore like it used to be sometimes!

Doesn't surprise me, I'm sure they've built up a good customer base so they're going to try and cash in now.

AFAIK It's true.

We were there last Thursday (last day of cheap drink I think) and the rumours were flying but I'm pretty sure it's happening.

I like it tbh cos it means I'll never be dragged there ever again...

From what I can make out, it was recently taken over by a new consortium.. so a change in the pricing system was inevitable. But the more expensive a place gets - the harder it is for scumbag schoolkids to get in and wreck my head. They were raided a couple of times for underagers so this is probably a not-so-obvious response to clean it up. Its a nice place, didn't like the crowd that were in it though... maybe things'll change now?!

i rang barcode there - they said that they're not charging in and don't plan to start door-charging and furthermore don't know where the rumor has started from.

A former employee or customer who was pissed with them for some reason and decided to kill their business perhaps. Or perhaps the competition, how's the pub across the road doing?
