Are you using the newest version?

My Firefox went a bit funny (having to close the firefox.exe process whenever I want to open it again, some other funny little niggles) and it fixed itself as soon as I updated

Happened to mine. I switched to Opera. No joke.

A bit OT, but I just downloaded Opera today and tried it, and I found I quite like it, it is very neat, and I like the way it opens on the webpage that you quit on

I think I will stick with Firefox though, but it is always nice to have Opera on the computer, for web developing, etc.

@ the OP... I'm not sure what the problem is, maybe your computer is just not fast or something, because Firefox needs more computer power to run than IE6

Have you got any dodgy extensions installed? In my experience, when firefox gets ****ed up, its usually down to some extension or plugin screwing it up.
Case in point, poxy quick f**king time, every time i load a page with embedded QT video, it freezes firefox while the quicktime plugin loads.

Must try opera myself now, haven't looked at it since before it was free :)

I have also hopped on the Opera bandwagon, it seems a bit faster than FF and much faster and smoother when i scroll down the page.

Mine was freezing up a lot recently too, and starting to use a lot of system resources, it turned out to be Reload Every causing issues.

Seems OK now though. I might download Opera also, as a Firefox alternative.
