I'm a little shocked to say the least.
just got my stats from my rakeback deal from doylesroom.
i paid over in $520 in rake i'm a low stake player and never presumed my rake would be so high if i'm payin that much rake at 5% per pot roughly. does that mean ive had $10'000 odd pass through my hands. Can someone explain?
never knew rakeback could be such a nice little earner time to move all my dough to ALL IN methinks.

Also does rakeback apply to STTs as well as cash game ?

Please note this is a generic question, I'm not looking for specific details for specific sites. I hope this is within the guidelines

I think it depends between sites and rakeback affiliates. Some do give you a % of your STT/MTT reg fees back and some don't.

tell me about it, before i signed i thought it was just a waste of time, but im easily getting over $600 a month, getting 25% of that back, and the way its just paid into ur poker account at the end of each month is sweet, no logistics needed from ourselves at all.

got an email about rackback poker a new site i think who is paying 40% now, might have to give that a go!

I paid over $15,000 in rake to one of the Tribeca skins over the space of six months playing $0.50/1 up to $3/6. I didn't even give rake payments a second thought. Then I opened my DR account and though I've yet to use this account regularly, the difference will be noticeable.

I can't think of any other industry where a private customer would pay a company $30,000 a year and get so little in return.

I'm shocked at how many Action points i'm gathering on VC in such a quick period of time clearing the newyear bonus playing at 0.50/1 NL shorthand. I think I remember hearing every 100AP's is 1$ in rake. I'll have to look into a Doyle's room account too.

its makes you think alright. its all well and good lookin at online pokerooms profits and sayin wow aint that grand. but when you see how much youve added personally its a shock.
We all play away every day and i'd say the vast majority don't have rakeback deal in place, a lot of players on here play on one site alot and they don't even offer it.
fatheads tip of the day GET A RAKEBACK DEAL!!!!!!

Yup, we are lining the pockets of CEOs sitting in comfortable leather chairs behind mahogony desks.....

It's very important to shop around and get the best possibl deal, at the last financial report from Party Poker, they were netting (i think it was net, have to double check) 1 Million $'s a day.

What do they give back? Very little...infact most poker companies are very selfish and give very little back.

Afterall they have to keep the board and shareholders happy.

What's gets me is how profitable online poker is and how greedy the companies actually are and how none of them have any interest in really competing with each other by reducing rake. Pokerstars and to a lesser extent Full Tilt do seem to apply some common sense to things and be relatively fair to their customers (I'm thinking T&C's if Karl or Nikki are reading ;)) but their rake is still high.

Have a look at the high stakes tables on Prima (or probably everywhere) and look at how little rake is taken. Then look at the lower levels and see how much is taken!

Is it me or do relatively easy to clear bonuses seem to have all but dried up now (with the exception of new player bonuses)? Just another sign that the industry is stabilising and the people that built it, the players, are getting shafted.

There is one point to be made in defence of the companies. If they were to constantly try and meet the demands of the players, it would not be very profitable for them, it is a business after all and they are there to make money, with that said it's amazing how far a small gesture can go....

It's closed now, it was a 300$ newyear reload bonus. You needed 37,500 AP's (IIRC) to clear the max bonus before the end of february whixh isn't that difficult.

Just cant understand why people dont get a deal.Since party split with empire though, its a pain as party has the best Sngs.but for cash game players a rakeback deal is a must.40% is my current deal at prima.

Both Pokerstars and Party have started their respective VIP programmes. Bonuses, reloads and rakeback are all well and good but they tend not to keep the punters at the tables long term. There's always another deposit bonus to clear over at site X, so you move and play your 20 hours a week there instead of sticking with site A where you started.

Party has had tens of different promotions and giveaways and so on over the last few months, all are geared towards higher volume and long term players.
