    will channel 6 be available to everyone (ie rooftop/indoor aeriel) or is it just available on chorus and ntl?

    Only Chorus / NTL.

    The cheapskates won't pay for Sky/Satellite.

    A terrestrial analog launch of a 5th channel, while not imposssible would be very very expensive and is unlikely.

    Judging from reports of content, it may be a waste of cable space, if you are on NTL/Chorus I hope you don't lose a better channel to make way for it.

    If Channel 6 aren't going on Sky, how will they distribute their signal to the cablecos?

    Only some actual Sky channels are distributed by Satellite in Ireland (e.g. Sky News & Sky1 (ireland Cable Versions are on Satellite but have different adverts at times). For example all the main UK channels on Chorus Digital in Limerick Area come via microwave link from Clones to Keeper Hill in Tipperary. They use analog Off Air pickup.

    If you have Sky or Digital NTL/Chorus you already have all the kind of stuff they show.

    If you only have Analog Cable or Analog MMDS, then it might be iteresting, but
    Not clear if it will be on analog cable/MMDS
    One of the exsiting ones wohouold have to be dropped.

    The cheapskates won't pay for Sky/Satellite.
    Wasn't so much being tight fisted, they threw their toys out of the pram when Sky said they couldn't have channel 105 on the Irish EPG.
