    I can't afford to pay a fortune for pictures for my website so I am looking for websites that offer free pictures to use on your website??

    Try stock.xchng. It is a very good free image stock repository. All you need to do is register.

    (Note. Some of the stock will require the creator to be credited/notified in some way).

    istock is incredibly cheap and well worth looking at.
    For a couple of dollars you stand a much better chance of finding something that isn't in use on thousands of other sites
